Senior Center - Eureka
The Fannie Komp Senior Center puts out a delicious seven item salad bar at 11:45 A.M. Monday through Friday. Lunch is served 12:00 to 12:30 P. M. Fannie Komp Senior Center provides for a "homey" atmosphere to enjoy lunch and visit with friends. The Fannie Komp Senior Center opens its doors at 8:00 A.M. with fresh hot coffee available. Homemade goodies are available on a regular basis. We occasionally serve breakfast and have summer BBQ's.

TRANSPORTATION
The Fannie Komp Senior Center provides transportation to and from the meal site on a daily basis. Trips to the post office, clinic and local store are also available. A trip is taken once a month (weather permitting) to Elko for shopping, dr. appointments and social activities. Special event trips are planned occasionally and scheduled with Eureka Senior Center.
HOMEBOUND MEALS
The Fannie Komp Senior Center will deliver homebound meals within a 5-mile radius of the senior center. Homebound meals are available to individuals who are homebound due to medical conditions and temporarily to those with periodic illnesses for up to one month.
FOOD ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
The Eureka County Food Pantry distributes TFAP for Emergency Food and Food Pantry on the last Thursday of every month to income eligible individuals and families. Pick up time is 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. If you are unable to pick up your food during that time, please make arrangements for someone else to do so for you and send a note with them giving them permission to do so. This is the only time it is available until the following month's distribution.
RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The Valley Goldies are a vital part of the Fannie Komp Senior Center. These hardworking individuals sponsor many events in the Crescent Valley area. They hold an annual Craft Bazaar each October, Crescent Valley Parade, annual senior Christmas party and offer a scholarship each year to a qualifying high school graduate from the north end of Eureka County. The Fannie Komp Senior Center has a pool table, VCR (with numerous tapes), a karaoke machine and a variety of books on tape to check out.

The Fannie Komp Senior Center has internet access for seniors. Training to "surf the net" is also available when requested. Two other computers are available for your enjoyment to play games.
